Kourtney Kardashian Barker Reveals The Health Habits She Shares With 4 Kids
  • Kourtney Kardashian shares her passion for living a healthy lifestyle with her four kids: Mason, Penelope, Reign, and Rocky.
  • The family does acupuncture and red light therapy together, she tells Women’s Health.
  • The Lemme founder also advocates for more natural options at her children’s schools.

Kourtney Kardashian Barker is known for her love of all things health: The 45-year-old launched her wellness platform Poosh in 2019, while her supplement brand Lemme just debuted their newest offering, Lemme Tone, at the end of last year.

And apparently, that passion has trickled down to her children: Mason, 15, Penelope, 12, Reign, 10. (She also welcomed son Rocky Thirteen, 1, with husband Travis Barker in 2023.) The family participates in several wellness practices together, she tells Women’s Health.

“I’ve noticed that doing acupuncture helps one of my kids a lot, or doing red light therapy—just laying down and relaxing and putting the red light panel on,” Kourtney told WH while discussing the launch of Lemme Tone. “We were on vacation this summer and they loved to try hot sauna and then cold plunge. It’s so cool to see that they are into it because we’re into it and they want to try it. They notice how it can make them feel.”

The mom-of-four, who also shares stepchildren Landon and Alabama Barker with Travis, would like to bring some of those practices into her children’s schools, too.

“I definitely advocate and go to their schools to try to make things better,” she says. “No food coloring in the foods. Organic options—like healthier, more holistic remedies, like when [they’re] feeling sick at the nurse’s office, type of thing.”

These are topics that that Kourtney has long been passionate about. (Famously, Kourtney purged less nutritious ingredients from the refrigerators of family members like mom Kris Jenner and sister Khloé Kardashian on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.)

Now, it seems like others are catching on: Red dye 3 was just banned under the Biden administration, and other additives like red dye 40 could be next. Health and Human Services secretary nominee Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has pledged to “ban the hundreds of food additives and chemicals that other countries have already prohibited.”

But for Kourtney, she’s just glad to see that more people are taking subjects seriously.

“It’s the norm now, which I love,” she said. “I posted this quote the other day—it was [along the lines of], ‘If you know of things before too early, you’re considered crazy.’ It made me laugh,” she says. “But I love that it’s just become a thing. It’s just becoming the standard of what we should expect and what we should feed our kids.”

That extends to the way she treats herself, too. Kourtney just got back into working out after welcoming Rocky, and isn’t letting any negative comments about her body get her down.

“Being a good role model to my own kids is really important to me,” she says. “The self-talk that I’m saying to myself, it has a reflection on my kids.”

Kourtney is starring in season six of Hulu’s The Kardashians alongside Kris, Khloé, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner.

The Kardashians season six premiere is now streaming on Hulu.
